On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, Pennsylvania Congresswoman Susan Wild toured St. Luke’s Allentown Campus with LifeAire CEO Dr. Kathryn Worrilow and her team to get a close look at the advance air purification solution installed at the facility.
In the walkthrough, Dr. Worrilow and leadership from St. Luke’s shared detail of the LifeAire System installation (pictured above the ceiling tiles) and its role providing medical grade air purification to eradicate 99.99% of airborne pathogens and chemical contaminants in a single pass that would otherwise enter the facility.
Representative Wild’s commitment to improving healthcare and making it more accessible to everyone is well-aligned with LifeAire’s commitment to enabling high quality healthcare through purified environments.
Susan’s legislative priorities include lowering prescription drug prices and expanding Medicare. She is a respected leader in Congress on lowering the cost of prescription drugs. Susan led a letter of frontline Democrats urging that Medicare finally be allowed to negotiate the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs and that the lower negotiated rates be available to everyone, not just those on Medicare.
Post visit plans include continuing discussion on the complexities involved in providing medical grade air purification, the role airborne pathogens play in infection, and the technologies that can help healthcare facilities protect their patients, staff, and visitors.
