Fire guts nearby restaurant –LifeAire System installation locks out the danger
Naperville, IL (July 6, 2014) – A devastating restaurant fire in Naperville, Illinois unleashed plumes of thick black smoke that saturated several city blocks Sunday. But the dangerous gases couldn’t harm the most fragile lives there – the embryos stored at nearby Naperville Fertility Center.
Dr. Randy Morris, Medical Director at Naperville Fertility Center gave the credit for their safety to the remarkable air purification system installed there by LifeAire Systems.
“Culturing embryos in a laboratory setting is a very difficult, complicated endeavor that requires the highest technical expertise. Air quality in the laboratory has been identified as a very important variable that can affect embryo development. There is no doubt in my mind that the smoke from Sunday’s restaurant fire could have affected the development of our patient’s embryos who were currently in the midst of an IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) cycle had they not been protected by our LifeAire System,” said Dr. Randy Morris, Medical Director at Naperville Fertility Center. “The LifeAire System was so highly effective at keeping our laboratory air pristine that you could literally smell the difference between the clean air inside the lab and the smoky air in the rest of the building.”
Founded by Kathryn C. Worrilow, Ph. D., LifeAire Systems air purification units are the result of two decades of research and were developed to provide contaminate free air essential for uncompromised and successful In Vitro Fertilization.
Naperville Fertility Center is the only Chicago-area In Vitro Fertilization program and laboratory with a LifeAire System in operation.
