LifeAire Systems, a technology leader in air purification for healthcare, has received CE mark certification for its line of in-duct air purification technologies, facilitating the introduction of the transformational technology into the European healthcare market.
LifeAire Systems’ proprietary technology for air purification provides continuous filtration and inactivation of 99.99% of biological and chemical contaminants within the air. Developed by Dr. Kathryn C. Worrilow, an IVF Laboratory Director and embryologist, who has spent more than a decade researching the critical role that air plays in in vitro fertilization, the technology provides the in vitro culture environment deemed optimal for successful embryogenesis. The LifeAire Systems’ filtration method is in stark contrast to more common HEPA filtration systems that filter air but do not provide molecular destruction of biological and chemical contaminants. The LifeAire Systems’ purification process offers a continuous, dynamic kill and removal of airborne chemical and biological pathogens.
Since its introduction into the market in 2014, the LifeAire technology has been instrumental in helping IVF clinics achieve industry-leading performance metrics in high pregnancy rates and reduced loss rates, often up to 20% above industry averages.
We at LifeAire are excited to announce that we have met all required European Union (EU) regulatory manufacturing standards in order to achieve CE certification, which will allow us to share our revolutionary technology with our European colleagues and into one of the world’s largest economic markets.
“We are thrilled with the news of receiving CE Certification as this allows us to share our technology with colleagues and providers in Europe. We look forward to both clinical providers and their patients experiencing improved clinical outcomes associated with the use of transformational air purification technology.”
The CE Marking recognizes LifeAire’s commitment to providing excellence beyond international manufacturing requirements. EU legislation established these directives as mandatory standards for product safety from all imported products into the European market and LifeAire is proud to achieve this important certification.
“As a specialist supplier of systems and consumables to IVF in Europe, we know our clients will appreciate that LifeAire has been certified to meet the high safety, health, and environmental protection requirements for CE certification.”
LifeAire clients include some of the world’s leading facilities: Stanford University Medical Center, Northwestern University Medical Center, University of Connecticut Health System, Wake Forest Medical Center, the Mayo Clinic and many other leading healthcare providers.
LifeAire is thrilled to attend and launch their transformational air purification technology at the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) Annual Meeting in Barcelona, Spain on July 1-4, 2018.
