Please take a moment to hear LifeAire CEO & Founder, Dr. Kathryn C. Worrilow speaking on the critical issues involving airborne pathogens in indoor environments.

“We are absolutely honored in that we have recently received an invitation to join Dr. Bill Bahnfleth and Dr. Joe Allen, leaders in air quality, infectious airborne pathogens, and engineering solutions, among other distinguished thought leaders, to participate as a subject matter expert and speaker at an upcoming public meeting, “Masters of the Air: Infectious Airborne Pathogen Control” to be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 in Washington, D.C. This is significant for LifeAire and we are the only commercial company involved. The invitation is a direct result of our clinical studies, publications and technology impact.
As background, in its 2015 bipartisan report, A National Blueprint for Biodefense: Leadership and Major Reform Needed to Optimize Efforts, the Commission described biological threats to the Nation and made 33 recommendations to optimize U.S. efforts to prevent, deter, prepare for, detect, respond to, attribute, recover from, and mitigate intentionally introduced, accidentally released, and naturally occurring biological events. Commissioners include Joe Lieberman, Tom Ridge, Dr. Donna Shalala, Tom Daschle and other prominent leaders. Since then, the Commission has continued to conduct comprehensive assessments of the state of U.S. biodefense efforts and to issue recommendations to foster change. As the Nation continues to endure the consequences of recent pandemics, and with continued interest in biological weapons by nation states and other enemies, the federal government has an opportunity to address critical vulnerabilities in the biodefense enterprise. At this meeting, the Commission intends to explore how indoor air quality can contribute to biodefense.
The purpose of this meeting will be to provide the Bipartisan Commission on Biodefense with a better understanding of: (1) how the government currently deals with indoor air quality; (2) new scientific and technological advances for indoor air quality; and (3) how enhancing indoor air quality can help prevent the spread of pathogens.”
