LifeAire Systems’ Technology Used by Top Fertility Lab in U.S.

LifeAire Systems’ patented purification system remediates up to 99.99% of airborne contaminants.

ALLENTOWN, PA – LifeAire Systems, a technology leader in air purification for healthcare, announced that the 2015 program with highest live-birth rate for women under 35 according to fertilitysuccessrates.com uses the company’s proprietary, multi-stage purification media system. The technology remediates up to 99.99% of biological and chemical contaminants in both source and return air.

In the latest review of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) data (Preliminary 2015), fertilitysuccessrates.com identified Carolinas Fertility Institute in Winston-Salem, NC as having the highest live birth rate for patients under the age of 35 (http://fertilitysuccessrates.com/report/United-States/women-under-35/data.html). Gold Coast IVF, Long Island, NY and The Center for Reproductive Medicine, Mobile, AL were SART’s top two-rated clinics in the previous reporting year’s data. All three facilities use the transformational technology offered by LifeAire Systems. The technology continues to be part of the top-rated IVF clinics among patients under age 35 and overall.

“The LifeAire System was an important factor in our lab design from the outset,” said Dr. Tamer Yalcinkaya of the Carolinas Fertility Institute. “Once we installed the system as part of our new lab in 2015, we saw immediate success rates that were higher than other IVF centers I have headed over my 25 years in this field. We and our patients are delighted with the outcomes.”

The LifeAire Systems in-duct air purification device is a patented air purifier that was designed by an embryologist for the benefit of the developing embryo. The technology provides rigorous air purification of volatile organic compounds, airborne pathogens, and microscopic particles, in contrast to more common HEPA filters that filter air but do not provide comprehensive molecular destruction of biological and chemical contaminants. LifeAire Systems have been shown to improve clinical outcomes at IVF facilities across the U.S., Canada and in China.

“IVF laboratories are among the most sensitive environments to airborne contaminants,” said Kathryn C. Worrilow, PhD., Founder and CEO of LifeAire Systems. “Across the top 25 SART locations and across different patient age categories, many of the leading facilities use LifeAire Systems. It’s no coincidence that labs that have purer air have higher success rates.”

LifeAire Systems is headquartered in Allentown and is a client of the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
